  • Massacre of Kodavas at Devattiparambu by Tippu
  • Tippu takes control over Kodagu

1788

  • Kulletira Ponnanna played a crucial role in rescuing Vira Raja, Linga Raja's son, from Tippu's captivity in Periyapatna.
  • Kulletira Ponnanna, Viraraja treaty at Virarajendranapete, victorious over Tippu in Bisle gha, securing triumph and peace.

  • Biddanda Bopu commenced service in the Kodagu army on January 25th
  • Kushalnagar Fort built by Tippu was destroyed and burnt down by Kodavas

  • Tippu sultans control over Kodagu ends

  • Dodda Veera Raja & Sir Robert Abercromby sign a treaty and Raja agrees  to pay, of his own free will, the sum of 800 pagodas to the Company every year, for their friendship and protection.
